MEET MARIA VITORATOS
Hiya!
I'm Maria (AKA Ms.V)
I'm so excited that you're here! If you're reading this, you are a woman ready to rise from life’s setbacks just like me. I've spent my whole life trying to rise above my challenges and quite honestly, it has been one heck of a ride!
But, between you and me, the truth is that I’ve just tried to survive at every hit that life threw at me. There was never an option 2; I had children to protect. So, for me, I didn’t have a warrior. I just had to survive the hit. But, now that I look back and I realise that my career was my hidden strength and no, it had nothing to do with my salary. My career had a bigger purpose; it was my life jacket. It saved me from the darkness that depression was trying to suck me under. I learned that when life slapped me in the face, and man did it really slap me, I had to fend for myself because there was no PRINCE CHARMING coming to save me. I had to save myself. There are no second chances in life; you get one chance to survive and life doesn’t care if you’re ready.
When you meet me, you may think that I had a smooth ride because I am leading this workshop. But, here's what I overcame so far...

In 1996, I packed my life into two suitcases and moved to a completely different continent because of my husband’s career.
-
In 2013, my marriage ended and I became a single-mother to three children living in a foreign country.
-
In 2019, my eldest daughter died by suicide.
-
In 2021, I was SERIOUSLY bullied by my manager.
-
In 2022 I hit my emotional rock bottom and gained so much weight that I’m still struggling to take off.
-
In 2024 I had to let go of my fear of losing another daughter and accept that she needed to go abroad for university.
At every life struggle, my experiences forced me to look at my life through a different lens. In a nutshell, the view from my life window was never glossy; it was scary, lonely, and very daunting most days. But, as I survived each milestone, (and by survived, I mean like crawling to the finish line), I realised that throughout every challenge, my career was always there to hold me up when I felt like I was falling. I learned that my career was my PRINCE CHARMING and it was my responsibility to decide that the glass ceiling was mine to define.
Today, I strive to thrive at work. More important, I aim to align the quality of my aspired life with how I choose to define my career. It's not that my career is more important than anything else; it's that my career is a strong pillar of my inner strength and an essential influencer of my feeling 'PURPOSEFUL' in my life. I know that when life hits me with a curve ball, I might not see the life hit coming, but I know that my career foundation will be there for me. If I can do it, you can too!
